I don't know if he likes me?

Basically we've known each other for 7 years but didn't really talk much just casual banter but since last month we've been talking loads. We talk every day till like 4/5 in the morning he always texts me loads whether I reply or not he's so cute he tells me I look like Cheryl cole but better! I know he's lying but he always says my hair is amazing and he's adorable but everyone knew that last year he liked my best mate they are now good friends he doesn't want to be but I make him! He does everything I ask. If i forget to give him a hug then he gets all upset. he compliments me like all the time saying how he likes what i wore or that i look sexy n cute and slyly says he's put in loads of effort and he asks me what I like in a guy and stuff he changed his hair to spike up cos I said I like it. He asked me to come watch a movie with him yesterday he paid for me it was fun the only weird thing was he did the whole put his arm around me thing which I quite liked but then i thought I didn't want to lead him on so I moved it but we went to dinner after that and it was soo fun he paid for dinner aswell but I'm not too sure if he's being friendly or if he likes me?
