I want to dye my hair from dark red to light brown?

I have a dark red on my hair right now, buts it really hard to maintain. I just wondering how to get to a light brown is my natural hair colour. I don't really like it right now, plus everyone got the same hair colour because of Cheryl Cole. Please Help!
